The Kills are Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince.

We have been working with The Kills for some time initially creating a fan ‘upload postcard’ website for the Midnight Boom album release. This was extremely successful generating an absolute load of artwork from fans all over the world. We then designed and built a simple blog for Alison and Jamie to post to whilst on the road; this updated version has been re-built to coincide with the release of the new Kills album ‘Blood Pressures’.

The design is black and white, large images, oversized The Kills logo, obsessive and claustrophobic… Pretty straightforward really. We also designed the new shop whilst we were at it.

We used the CSS3 background-size: cover to allow the site to have full bleed images which are customisable by the user. Once a fan has registered they can then upload their own image. Alison and Jamie check these out every now and then…

If the tracks Satellite and DNA are anything to go by then Blood Pressures is going to be a marvellous album...
