Kylie Minogue…. Kylie… KYLIE!!!! We love Kylie, so we were completely over the moon when asked to design and build her new website. With record sales of more than 68 million, notable music awards, including multiple ARIA, Brit Awards and a Grammy and of course her single 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' being the most-played track of the last decade we just had to make Kylie’s site something special and befitting of such a cultural icon.
Design has an emotional response and when you're dealing with one of the world's greatest artists we realised very early on that we needed to focus on the overall experience and push it to a very high standard. We really wanted to develop a design to give the site a true usefulness and purpose but primarily to let Kylie shine through.
This was one of the hardest builds we’ve ever done to date, adaptive views depending on browser and platform, super caching of all content, HTML5 scrolling timeline, GEO determined content, content pulled in from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, drag and drop customised content views oh and all, ‘ALL’ content managed… It’s been late nights, copious cups of coffee and a little bit of Carpal tunnel syndrome thrown in for good measure. Oh and did we mention that it has been three weeks from pitch to go-live...
