Fresh work for adventurous people by inspiring artists. Founded in 2004, and led by Louise Blackwell and Kate McGrath, Fuel is a producing organisation working in partnership with some of the most exciting artists in the UK to develop, create and present new work for all ages.

Fuel wanted a site that would show current work and also their vast catalogue of productions in a clear and welcoming manner. They knew exactly what they wanted from the design and their ideas (pipes!) helped steer the direction. The interface had to be instantly clear and not obtrusive in discovering all about the work of which there is an absolute wealth of great material.

This is a bit of a monster behind the scenes! Many custom modules were written for managing some quite complex relationships between artists, projects, performances and related work.

We were very excited by the way that EVIL responded to the Fuel web design brief - our two companies felt like an instant fit and it was a pleasure to work with them to create our website. They were patient, dedicated, had great ideas and responded well to feedback. We really enjoyed seeing the website take shape through this collaborative process and we’re extremely pleased with the outcome
