Richard X, is a British songwriter and music producer. He has created hit singles for artists including Kelis, M.I.A, Sugababes and Goldfrapp. Inspired by The Human League and Kraftwerk, Richard treats every song as a potential single. He says, "Each track has to stand alone. The song, the production and everything together. My reference point is always imagining finding it on a seven-inch in a second hand shop when you were younger”.

The website design is an update on the original Black Melody site which we did almost four years ago and this uses as a reference the early Human League record 'Being Boiled'... which incidentally Richard used as the backing track for "Being Nobody" by Liberty X.

First-off we got rid of the SIFR headings and put some nice web fonts into the page. The tiling background is randomised on page load for variety and there is a subtle parallax effect attached to the page scroll. The homepage has a nice grid/list switch based on simple body class switching.

Such a joy to work with, creative at every stage and took the original ideas and made them into something far better.

They quickly brought the whole site together from stage one in a professional and thankfully geek-speak free manner. It looks great and works great so job done. Here's to the power of EVIL!
